Sales activity increased 134.8 per cent in Perth last week, with REIWA members reporting 465 transactions. This significant increase was to be expected following the usual slow period the week prior.

Properties for sale

There were 7,111 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is fairly stable compared with the previous week. This can be attributed to relatively stable house and unit listings, while vacant land listings decreased 2 per cent.

Last week's total figure of properties available for sale is 15 per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and 11.4 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

Properties for rent

In Perth's rental market, REIWA members reported there were 1,826 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which 25.9 per cent more than the previous week. Last week's rental listings figure is 5.5 per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and 22.6 per cent lower than a year ago.

REIWA members reported 358 properties leased, which is 132.5 per cent higher than the previous week due to the seasonal slowdown the week prior.
