Amy Dangerfield is young, hungry and keen.
And property management is just the beginning, she says.
When she’s not working six days a week, Amy is studying business and property degrees, so she can stay ahead of the pack and fast-track her career.
“I’m not in this industry to try it out and see if it fits,” she says.
“If you work really hard, I think, real estate is a great lifestyle.”
Amy says property managers are the bedrock of the real estate industry.
“We oversee all aspects related to buildings and their maintenance, including keeping the property in good shape, overseeing repairs, budgeting, and assisting the landlord with their business obligations,” she says.
“The most successful managers emphasize organization, problem solving, financial skills, communication and teamwork.”
Leasing is one of the most challenging parts of the industry and a property manager needs to keep a cool head and think quickly on their feet.
“Landlords and tenants have expectations, and very often different expectations, and it’s my job to deliver a solution that works for everyone,” Amy says.
In her spare time Amy enjoys movies and travelling, friends and family.
