Style and Sophistication With Coastal Soul

This stylishly-renovated 4 bedroom 2 bathroom single-level coastal sanctuary is a home that reveals its magic in layers.

Perfectly poised between beach and bush, it delivers the perfect balance of privacy and coastal lifestyle, inviting you to wake to birdsong, wander to the water and unwind in a home that feels like a holiday every single day.

A gated north-facing entry courtyard is graced with lawn, a serene pond with a trickling water feature, a hot/cold water outdoor rain and hose shower and a wraparound front verandah that encourages sitting and quiet contemplation. A side gate reveals a delightful side patio area, backyard lawn for the kids and pets to run around on and a fabulous alfresco-entertaining deck that is protected from the south-westerly winds.

Internally, a versatile study/sitting area makes an instant first impression from the moment you step foot inside and features white plantation window shutters. It overlooks a sunken open-plan family and dining area with reverse cycle air-conditioning and direct backyard access.

The central kitchen and casual-meals area benefits from its own open-plan design and boasts an alfresco servery window, sparkling stone bench tops, double sinks, sleek white cabinetry and pantry storage, quality tap fittings, stainless-steel dishwasher and range-hood appliances, a Westinghouse Induction cooktop, a stainless-steel Bosch under-bench oven and an integrated Solardom convection microwave.

Polished concrete floors dominate a light and bright activity room that the young ones will appreciate, comprising of access to the side of the property and also to the alfresco deck.

At the front of the layout, a spacious carpeted master suite is the obvious pick of the bedrooms with its full-height triple-sliding-door mirrored built-in wardrobes, recessed ceiling, fan, white plantation shutters and fully-tiled ensuite bathroom – cavity slider, new stone vanity, walk-in shower, toilet, ample natural light and all.

The rear second and third bedrooms, off the activity room, have their own ceiling fans and polished concrete floors. The second bedroom also features a striking recessed ceiling and its own split-system air-conditioning, for climate control.

The carpeted fourth bedroom has a fan and built-in robe, whilst a combined main bathroom/laundry makes the most of both the floor and wall space on offer with a separate bathtub, a rain/hose shower, a wash trough, a stone-vanity basin, internal hanging space, over-head and under-bench storage and access out to a side patio and under-cover clothesline.

Drop-down-ladder access up to a very handy 12sqm (approx.) carpeted storage attic is simply an added bonus. A huge two-way lock-up powered side shed/storeroom completes the package and leads out to a hidden storage deck, just in case some extra external space if required.

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
